Around the world, The Salvation Army offers music and arts ministries that provide skillful education in a loving and safe environment by dedicated leaders. The Collective is here for those leaders. We have created a collective hub for resources made by brilliant music and arts ministry educators so that you can find something that works for you and your students without having to reinvent the wheel. In addition to finding curriculum and teaching tools, you’ll also find leadership training and ways to help you keep learning and growing, as well.
The Salvation Army’s main objective is to serve, honor, and promote the living God through any means possible. In His goodness, God created humanity with the gift of expression through the arts, and we are thrilled to be able to use these gifts to bring Him glory and make His name known!
The Music & Arts Leadership Academy (MALA) provides online courses in a variety of music and arts disciplines designed to enhance worship for your corps or church groups. These courses are helpful for young leaders to learn basics of leadership or for seasoned veterans to further hone their skills!
All courses are FREE! Enrolling in a free course will allow you to track your progress as you work your way through the course. Experienced leaders may prefer to skip to specific areas of the course for a refresher or for further study.
This database is a collection of offerings from Salvation Army writers across the USA. Each piece was written with the intention of glorifying God, sharing his Gospel, and edifying the Church, and are thus made available to you to do the same in your community. USA South Publications
Since 1987, our music department has been publishing music for worship with a focus on education. They have expanded from an instrumental series to include adult choir, children’s choir, piano, guitar, dance, and drama books! Several of our publications have moved to be free online resources.
